Allison
Ritenour practices primarily in the area of insurance litigation.
Prior to joining Martin & Seibert, L.C. in 2002, Mrs.Ritenour completed
two judicial clerkships in St. Mary’s County, Maryland and Washington
County, Maryland. She also practiced as a general practitioner concentrating
primarily in the areas of personal injury, bankruptcy, and domestic
relations.
Mrs. Ritenour has extensive teaching experience
and was an adjunct instructor in the Paralegal Studies Department
at Shepherd University Community and Technical College during 2003-2004.
Prior to this, she was an adjunct assistant professor in the Law
and Public Policy Department at University of Maryland University
College from 1995 through 1999, and an adjunct instructor in the
Legal Assistant Program at Hagerstown Business College from 2001
through 2003. She now coordinates the Martin & Seibert, L.C. Law
Clerk Program, which recruits, hires, and advises summer law clerks
who work for the firm. Mrs. Ritenour serves as a board member of
the United Way of Berkeley and Morgan Counties, West Virginia, and
second vice president of Soroptimist International of Martinsburg.
Mrs. Ritenour has been admitted to practice before
the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the United States District
Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, the United States
District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, the Court
of Appeals of Maryland, the United States District Court for the
District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the
Fourth Circuit, and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
