Susan Snowden is a Martin & Seibert, L.C. shareholder and has been with the firm
since 1985. She concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law, class
action and insurance defense work but also handles a number of environmental claims.
Ms. Snowden’s litigation experience includes cases involving
multi-party catastrophic injury claims, products liability, third-party claims,
bad faith claims, contract disputes and employment law. She also counsels clients
in the areas of arson, fire loss and investigation, construction insurance law
and litigation involving the administration of estates and appointment of guardians
and conservators. In addition to her litigation work, Ms.
Snowden frequently gives lectures to businesspersons on employment-related issues.
She has also authored articles for the West Virginia Executive Magazine and B2B
Outlook. In January of 2006, she delivered a seminar on the use of electronic
discovery ad the American Conference Institute in Las Vegas, NV. Ms.
Snowden is also an active member in the community and remains dedicated to public
service. She serves as the Fiduciary Commissioner for Berkeley County, WV, which
has allowed her to serve as administer for hundreds of estates. She is also a
member of the Board of Trustees of Thiel College in Greenville, PA and is a member
of the West Virginia Bar Association, West Virginia State Bar, Berkeley County
Bar Association (former president), Defense Research Institute and the Defense
Trial Counsel of West Virginia. Some of Ms. Snowden’s other
local affiliations include her membership on the Board of Directors for the Mountain
State Apple Harvest Festival, Inc. (former president, vice-president, treasurer),
Soroptimist International of Martinsburg, WV (former president, treasurer), Board
of Directors of the United Way of Berkeley and Morgan Counties, Board of Directors
for the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors
of the Gateway Foundation, an affiliate of WVUH- East. Ms.
Snowden is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit;
U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia
and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. |
