Dana
F. Eddy joined the Charleston office of Martin & Seibert, L.C. in
the spring of 2006. He practices mainly in the area of insurance
defense, with an emphasis on commercial litigation and lender liability.
While a student at Salem College, Mr. Eddy was
honored with the Laudati award during his freshman, sophomore and
junior years. This honor is given to the student with the highest
grade point average of each respective class. He was also the editor
of the school's Political Science newsletter, "With Input".
When Mr. Eddy left Harvard University, he focused
his practice in the areas of commercial and consumer litigation.
He practiced for a period of time with Jackson & Kelly before spending
three years as the in-house Litigation Counsel for One Valley Bank.
He also served as General Counsel for Gaston Caperton during the
last three years of the governor's second term.
For five years, beginning in August of 2001, Mr.
Eddy was the Managing Trial Attorney for the Nationwide Insurance
Trial Division. Eddy was lead counsel in almost 30 trials, a time
during which his team had a 90% success rate.
