McEvan H. Baum

McEvan H. Baum joined Martin & Seibert in 2010 as an associate attorney.  Mr. Baum practices primarily in insurance litigation.  Most recently, Mr. Baum practiced insurance defense at a prominent District of Columbia law firm.  While in this position, he facilitated the expedient resolution of several cases, and was selected by the firm to revise and update A.M. Best Company’s District of Columbia Insurance Law Digest in consecutive years.  Prior to that, Mr. Baum worked as a general practitioner in Ellicott City, Maryland, where he represented plaintiffs predominantly in the areas of personal injury, employment, and business matters.   

A native of Albany, New York, but a longtime Marylander, Mr. Baum graduated from the University of Maryland with B.A.s in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Family Studies.  Following his undergraduate education, Mr. Baum graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore School of Law.  While there, Mr. Baum was a staff editor on the University of Baltimore Law Forum and had three articles selected for publication.  
           
Mr. Baum is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and New Jersey.
