Ms.
Dugas is admitted to practice in the State of West Virginia, the
United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia
and the United States District Court for the Southern District of
West Virginia. Ms. Dugas concentrates her practice mainly in the
areas of labor and employment law.
Ms. Dugas is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and the American
Bar Association. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law
Section of the American Bar Association, and was a contributing
authorfor the ABA 2003 Mid-Winter Report of the Committee on Age
Discrimination in Employment Act. Ms. Dugas has also presented as
a guest lecturer on various employment law issues.
Ms. Dugas received her legal education at the West Virginia University
College of Law where she was a member of the West Virginia Law Review.
She was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and was recognized
for her community service efforts. Ms. Dugas was a member of the
M.E. Luga Trial Association and of the M.E. Lugar Trial Association
Traveling Competition Team. She participated in the Allegheny County
Academy of Trial Lawyers' Gourley Cup Trial Competition, held annually
in Pittsburgh, P.A.
During the Course of the legal studies, Ms. Dugas was also a member
of the Christian Legal Society, the Volunteer Law Clerks Association
and served as President of the Labor & Employment Law Association.
Ms. Dugas completed her undergraduate work at Frostburg State University
in Frostburg, MD, where she earned a B.S. degree in Psychology.
There, she was a member and served as Treasurer of Psi Chi, the
National Psychology Honor Society.
