Robert A. Lockhart joined Martin & Seibert in 2011 as “Of Counsel” in its Charleston office. Mr. Lockhart’s practice includes general defense litigation with a focus on insurance defense and coverage matters.
Prior to joining Martin & Seibert, Mr. Lockhart practiced with two of the largest defense firms in West Virginia, where he represented a diversity of clients on matters ranging from labor and employment disputes and workplace injuries to mine safety and environmental issues. More recently, Mr. Lockhart was a member at a small defense firm engaged in insurance defense for a number of regional insurance carriers with clients in the trucking, construction, grocery, banking, restaurant and other industries.
Mr. Lockhart has appeared in courts throughout West Virginia. He is admitted to practice before all West Virginia state courts, federal courts in the northern and southern districts of West Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Kanawha County Bar Association and Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia. |
