Susan
Snowden is a Shareholder at Martin & Seibert, L.C. and practices
in the area of insurance law, with an emphasis on class action defense
of employment and insurance related claims.
Her experience includes litigation of cases involving
multi-party catastrophic injury claims, products liability, third
party claims, bad faith claims, contract disputes, and employment
law. She also counsels clients in the areas of arson, fire loss
investigation, construction insurance law and litigation involving
the administration of estates and appointment of guardians and conservators.
Ms. Snowden serves as a Fiduciary Commissioner
for Berkeley County, West Virginia, through which she has administered
hundreds of estates. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees
of Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Snowden is a member of the West Virginia Bar
Association, West Virginia State Bar, Berkeley County Bar Association
(former president), Defense Research Institute and the Defense Trial
Counsel of West Virginia. She is also an active member of the Board
of Directors of Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival, Inc. (former
president, vice-president, treasurer), Soroptimist International
of Martinsburg, West Virginia (former president, treasurer), Board
of Directors of United Way of Berkeley and Morgan Counties, Board
of Directors, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, and
the Board of Directors of the City Hospital Foundation, Inc.
She is admitted to U.S. Court of Appeals for the
Fourth Circuit; U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern
Districts of West Virginia; and the West Virginia Supreme Court
of Appeals.
