William (Bill) E. Ford III was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on April 14, 1955. After growing up in St. Albans and the Kanawha Valley he received a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from West Virginia University in 1977 and a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1980.

After several years of private practice in southern West Virginia, Mr. Ford joined the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Enforcement Division as a Staff Litigation Attorney in its Forth Worth and Miami Regional Offices. After several years of private practice in the Fort Lauderdale office of McIntosh & Craven, P.A., Mr. Ford joined State Farm Insurance Companies, just in time for Hurricane Andrew, serving as an in-house advisor and litigation counsel for the Florida Region. Mr. Ford returned home to West Virginia in 1997 to organize Mountain Thunder Motorcycle Rentals, Tours and Transportation, West Virginia�s first motorcycle tour operator.

Mr. Ford has been a member of the West Virginia Bar since 1980 and the Florida Bar since 1990. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of West Virginia and Southern District of Florida as well as the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. Mr. Ford�s litigation career has given him exposure to numerous complex litigation/multiple party actions in the insurance and securities arenas. Mr. Ford is married to Lisa Furbee Ford, formerly of Bridgeport, West Virginia, and Associate General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Justice/INS . Mr. Ford resides in Charles Town, West Virginia with his wife and their daughter Alia. Mr. Ford joined Martin & Seibert in 1999.
