Paul
Weiss practices in the areas of tort, contract and general civil
litigation and is experienced in the handling of mass tort claims,
federal multi-district and other complex litigation. His areas of
concentration are in personal injury, health care law, and information
technology law. In addition, he serves as a mediator in both state
and federal cases, as well as non-litigation disputes.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Weiss made his
career in the hospitality industry. He also worked as a paralegal
while working towards his Juris Doctor. His prior legal experience
included the litigation of mass claims typically related to transportation
disasters.
Mr. Weiss was admitted to practice before the Supreme
Court of the United States, Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals,
United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia,
Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and District of
Maryland, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District
of Virginia, Supreme Court of Virginia (1990), Supreme Court of
Appeals of West Virginia (1993), and Court of Appeals of Maryland
(1993).
