Christopher
Wilson practices in litigation with a concentration in the areas
of insurance defense, employment law, and professional liability.
Mr. Wilson focuses the majority of his time on
the defense of complex and class action insurance defense litigation.
His experience includes the defense of bad faith and contractual
disputes as well as claims involving both state and federal creditor’s
rights issues. Mr. Wilson also handles employment defense cases
ranging from wrongful termination and unsafe workplace actions to
retaliation claims and employee wage payment and collections actions.
Prior to joining Martin & Seibert, L.C., Mr. Wilson
served as in-house counsel for an insurance coordinating company
in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Wilson is a graduate of the Leadership Berkeley
program sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Martinsburg/Berkeley
County and he remains active within the Chamber. In addition, he
serves as co-chair of the Small Business Campaign Division for the
United Way of Berkeley and Morgan Counties and he is an active member
of the Potomac District Committee for the Shenandoah Area Council
of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Wilson is a member of the American
Bar Association, Texas State Bar, Texas Young Lawyer Association
and the West Virginia State Bar.
Mr. Wilson is admitted to practice before the Supreme
Court of Texas, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, and
the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern
District of West Virginia.
